Referral terms
Most people qualify for a referral reward. These are the terms, including the few people who can't receive one.
Who can't receive a reward
The owner
The owner of the referred property, or anyone insured under its property insurance policy.
Claim professionals
An insurance agent, insurance adjuster, public adjuster, appraiser, or umpire, or an attorney representing anyone on the insurance claim for the referred property.
Insurer and mortgage staff
An employee of the insurer or mortgage servicer handling the referred property's claim.
Anyone who can influence the claim
Any other person who can influence the insurance claim for the referred property.
Managers and decision makers
Anyone who manages the referred property, or who decides for someone else whether to hire us for it, such as a property manager, HOA manager, or board member, or a facilities employee.
Our team
Golden Rule employees and their household members, who are covered by a separate employee policy.
Other terms
The reward
$250 for each qualified referral, paid by check or ACH within 30 days after the referred job is completed and paid in full. We never pay in cash.
Never a discount
The reward never comes off anyone's bill. It is never a credit, discount, or rebate on your own job or on the job you referred, including any invoice.
Deductibles
The reward is never applied to an insurance deductible. Texas law does not allow a contractor to pay, waive, rebate, or credit an insured's deductible, so the person you refer pays their own deductible. The reward does not change their price.
Insurance claims
The reward does not depend on, and does not change with, the amount of any insurance claim, any carrier approval, any supplement, or the price of the referred job.
Changes
We may change or end the program. A change applies only to referrals received after it is posted. Referrals received before then are honored on the terms in effect when we received them.
