Emergency roof tarping
We tarp storm-damaged roofs to limit further damage until repairs can be scheduled. Call us and we'll schedule a crew as soon as we can.
While you wait
Call
Request a call. Tell us the address, where the roof is open, and whether water is coming inside. That helps us schedule the crew.
Stay safe
Stay off the roof, especially when it is wet or damaged. Keep clear of downed power lines and report them to your utility.
Move belongings
Move valuables, electronics, and furniture away from the leak. Put buckets or towels under drips.
Power
If water is near outlets, lights, or the electrical panel, turn off power to that area, but only if it is safe to do so.
Photos
Take photos of the damage, inside and out, from a safe place. Keep notes and receipts for your own records.
What a tarp is, and what it isn't
A tarp is a temporary measure. It limits further damage from rain and wind until the roof can be repaired. It is not a repair, and it is not meant to stay on for good.
Once the roof is covered, the next step is an inspection and a written repair estimate. Start with a storm damage inspection, and read how roof repair works.
When the crew arrives
The crew temporarily covers the area where we believe the roof is leaking.
Once the tarp is on, keep people and pets out of wet rooms. Watch for ceilings that sag or bulge with water, and stay out from under them. Leave the tarp in place until the repair is done.
